Buck Bay Farm is owned and operated by the Barrick Family; Angie, Brick, Van & Tripp. When Angie, a fourth generation native of the Pacific Northwest, quit her fast-paced job to actually see her family, she and Brick determined that just taking some time off from work wasn't enough.
Not only were they interested in escaping the bustle of modern life to enjoy their children, they wanted to share with them what it feels like to explore, to play outside without worrying about cars in the street, breaking neighbors' windows, the list goes on.
The goal of Buck Bay Farm is to create a haven for those who cherish some peaceful nights in the country, but still want access to all the tools of modern life, just in case you get withdrawals. So explore the 5 wooded acres of our farm. Pick and eat from the blackberry bushes, the apple trees, hunt for frogs by the pond, roast marshmallows at the firepit. Then go ahead and get your fix of DirecTV, DVD or internet.
No stuffy B&B environment here. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Don't be surprised if your tasty breakfast is served up with a little Duke Ellington or if your children go home with an official farmhand certificate for "adopting" a pet during their stay.
Our aim is to satisfy your need to re-invigorate, be it a romantic weekend in the country or a treasured family experience.
BreakfastWe know what it's like to hesitate about staying at an inn because you're afraid of the food. Not only have we created lots of options for all eaters, but we also endeavor to bring local products to the table as often as possible. Don't be surprised to find blackberries picked that morning in your scones or some garden fresh vegetables in your omelet.
- Beverages - Coffee, Regular and Decaf, Numi Organic Teas. Orange Juice and Low-Fat Milk.
- First Course - Fresh Fruit, Homemade Granola and Stirred Yogurt with Berries, and Fresh Baked Signature Scones with Garden Herbs.
- Main Course - Crab Strata Supreme, Pumpkin-Ginger Waffles and Bacon, Smoked Salmon or Fresh Veggie Omelets, Triple Berry Crepes and Sausage, Crab-Cake Eggs Benedict, Berry Pancakes and Bacon.
- All of our meals come with a vegetarian option. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or strong dislikes so we can ensure you have a terrific breakfast.
